Flashback

Looking at these photos you might think we went to an old-time diner over February vacation.  Well, you'd be partially correct.  This diner just happens to be my parent's 1950s room in their house.  It's a popular hangout whenever we visit, as you might suspect.  We're talking Jerry Lee Lewis on the jukebox, Coca-Cola in bottles, stainless steel napkin holders, Formica and vinyl.

I think it would be hilarious if Husband and I someday have a basement 1980s room, with huge boomboxes playing "Dancing in the Dark," Madonna pin-ups, a life-sized cardboard Michael Jackson in full Thriller attire, and a vintage Pac-Man arcade game.  Pretty cool, huh?

That would be a hoot. Be sure to have a Members Only jacket, a Molly Ringwald poster...or better yet, The Breakfast Club...hmmm...and a can a Aqua Net so that we can all achieve that "Big Hair." Did I forget anything?
